A sanctuary in the hills of Ubud, Villa Amala Ubud is an intimate resort that prides itself on being a home away from home. Set on a 3,000 square meter site above the villages of Sebali and Keliki, it overlooks the Wos River on the edge of a mountainside surrounded by rice paddies. Combining traditional Balinese architecture with the simplicity and clean lines of modern design, Villa Amala Ubud consists of 3 houses connected by a walkway. It can comfortably accommodate up to 14 adults and has enough common areas to ensure enough privacy, ideal for family friends, or up to seven couples.
Bodhi, the master bedroom on the second floor leads to a spacious balcony with bunk beds at each end and a patio overlooking the pool and rice fields. The luxurious spacious bathroom features a bathtub with a rain shower and an outdoor shower on the terrace. Below are two guest rooms, Wani and Arbesia, linked by a single veranda overlooking the peaceful Wos River; Both have private bathrooms with showers and bathtubs. On the ground floor is Jarak, a second master bedroom with an indoor bath and shower overlooking the lush tropical valley, as well as an outdoor shower in a private garden.
On the second floor of the North House is the luxuriously furnished third master bedroom, Kendal, which has a balcony overlooking the Wos River and placid views of the valley and rice fields to the North. Its private bathroom is a bit smaller than the others but has the best amenities. You can take a walk in the garden, have breakfast with the sunrise over the valley or admire the beauty of the terraces from the trellis at the edge of the garden.
Offering stunning views of picturesque rice fields, the main house features an open-plan living room with a large couch overlooking the 20-meter swimming pool, as well as a kitchen, library, and dressing room. The Valley House features an open billiards area on the top floor with a huge alang-alang roof and a spacious patio for al fresco dining. There is a media room with a large television to show movies or satellite TV and a karaoke system for those who like to sing. This bedroom can also be converted into another bedroom with its own bathroom and shared patio with Jarak. Newly built in the last quarter of 2017, North House features an open-plan dining hall that can be closed for more privacy and a floating deck overlooking the lush valley.
