Villa Kelusa is combination of two villas, Villa Pondok Sapi and Villa Pondok Surya, nestled in the small villa of Kelusa, just a 15 minute drive from Ubud. Though remotely located and untouched by modern life, Kelusa is easily accessible and is just a few minutes away from the wide array of activities in Ubud. The villa is a 10-minute drive from Elephant Safari Park and a 1.5 hour drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport.
The main floor is designed around a 20-meter infinity lap pool which runs through the center of the house. An interior bridge carved from a single piece of ironwood connects the living and entertainment areas. Also on the main floor is an enclosed kitchen and beautifully-landscaped outdoor (but private) bathroom. In addition, there is an air-conditioned guest room that can be configured with a king bed or two single beds.
Villa Pondok Surya has a large, air-conditioned, second story in-suite master bedroom with a king bed and a wrap-around terrace. The sliding glass walls open up to bring the outside in. The master bath contains a massive custom bathtub, hand-carved from a single, giant tree, which looks out over the cascading rice fields.
The villa has two air-conditioned bedrooms. The guest room, on the ground floor, has a king-sized bed which can be converted to twin beds, as well as a dedicated bathroom with a fitted bathtub. The master bedroom, which completely occupies the whole second floor, has a king-sized bed, as well as a dedicated bathroom with a free-standing bathtub carved out from a large tree trunk. This bedroom also opens out to a spacious balcony with fantastic views of the terrain.
Indoor Areas
At the villa’s semi-open, airy and high-ceilinged common space is the living area with its cushioned, wooden bench and classic, elegant chairs oriented towards a wall-mounted, widescreen TV. Here, you can all catch shows you’re been following closely. Or watch, once again, your all-time, favorite classic film. Across the infinity pool – connected by a timber wood plank – is the dining area. On its timber wood counter that seats four, you can all savor authentic local specialties – as well as international favorites – served up by the resident chef from the villa’s well-equipped, modern kitchen which is also on the ground floor.
Outdoor Areas
Extending outward from the center of the villa’s ground floor to the terraced garden’s well-kept lawn is the 20-meter infinity pool. Dive into its alluring, crystal clear waters for your brisk, routine laps. For a breather, you can lounge on cushioned, wooden pool beds on the poolside stone deck.
