Jimbaran is a relaxed yet vibrant village featuring colorful local flavor and spectacular sunsets on a family-friendly beach. Right on Villa Sea Shanty’s doorstep are various shopping, dining, and activities for all budgets and tastes. Jimbaran is only 15 minutes from the airport and yet a world away from the pace and traffic that has long been the norm in other popular tourist areas of Bali.

‘The Bali Room’ is the downstairs master bedroom featuring a super king-size bed, a private outdoor bath and shower with a delightful natural indoor/outdoor bathroom, direct lawn access, and a built-in writing desk. This room brings together our favorite elements of Balinese lifestyle & culture.

‘The Canopy Room’ enjoys pleasant garden and neighborhood views from upstairs with loads of natural airflow and sunlight. It features a super king-size bed, a built-in writing desk, a private sun deck, an oversized outdoor shower, and a large bathroom. This room is also ideal for parents who like to be close to the children’s room – aka The Bunkhouse.

‘The Bunkhouse’ – the “kid zone” includes 2 beautifully made teak bunk beds and 2 (optional) inflatable mattresses (sleeping a total of 6 children). A large chalkboard wall will keep the kids entertained for hours and an outdoor bath and separate shower ensures the bathroom space is suitable for children of all ages. Your children will delight in having a bath or shower under the stars with a giant resident octopus mural watching over them.

‘The Library’ – this cool, airy downstairs room can be configured as a bedroom or a reading / TV room. With the option of 2 single beds, or one king-size bed, or a large comfy day bed, this room is adaptable to meet all requirements. The main feature is the floor-to-ceiling bookshelf complete with a wall-mounted Smart TV with DVD player, stocked with good reading material and local antiques we have picked up in our travels around Bali.

All bedrooms have been designed with optimum climate control and comfort in mind. They can each be fully enclosed with individual air conditioning or open the sliding doors to maximize natural ventilation. A 5th guest toilet downstairs near the living room provides additional convenience and direct outside access from the pool.

Living Spaces and Outdoor Area at Villa Sea Shanty

The Sea Shanty features two dedicated living room areas. The main living room on the ground floor enjoys a stunning modern Balinese high-pitched ceiling with two ceiling fans and 3 sides open to the beautiful, lush gardens to ensure you enjoy natural ventilation throughout the day. The design incorporates an open-plan kitchen with a seated bar area, an impressive 12 seater dining table, and a comfortable lounge area, ensuring the whole family can enjoy tropical indoor / outdoor living together in one comfortable and relaxed space.

The second living room is conveniently located upstairs, between the two bedrooms, with louvers on one side and sliding doors on the other, ensuring optimum daily ventilation. It features a Smart TV with a DVD player, a bookshelf, ceiling fan, and a large lounge for complete relaxation.

• Surrounding the pool is a 150sqm pool deck with two sun lounges and oversized chill-out beanbags, plus a 250sqm grass lawn providing plenty of room for soccer or a game of cricket.
