Designed by renowned Balinese architect Popo Danes, The Longhouse Villa clings dramatically to a hilltop in Jimbaran, with panoramic views stretching over the south coast of Bali. The inspired design integrates the contours of the land, resulting in an atmospheric three-story labyrinth of tropical gardens, open-plan living spaces, and lush atriums. Combining contemporary luxury with plenty of Asian flavors, the villa has been lovingly decorated by the owners, with an eclectic assortment of antiques and textiles gathered during their extensive travels across the Indonesian archipelago.

Six ensuite bedrooms have been themed to a different region of Indonesia, all with expansive views and private outdoor areas.  The living space on the top floor opens onto an infinity pool and forms the villa’s social hub – as well as being the best place to soak up the views.  Early mornings reveal Bali’s chain of volcanoes looming in the distance, while evenings see the island ablaze with twinkling lights. A home cinema, spa room, 12-seater teak dining table, and ample lounging space make the villa perfect for groups and extended families. Those wishing to celebrate intimate weddings and events will also succumb to the villas’ whimsical charms.

Bali Suite

The Bali suite welcomes you. From the moment you arrive, view the distinctive Balinese Door from the Bale lounge through the long arrival hall. Enter the suite through a private study with a courtyard garden. The Bali room is the perfect combination of rustic charm and modern convenience. A massive bathroom flows seamlessly from the sleeping area while creating the right amount of privacy required.  Most of the furniture in Bali is made of bamboo, including a large queen-sized bed with a mosquito net and a desk with a view!

Lombok Suite

Bathed in soft earth tones like the Sasak Pottery, for which the island of Lombok is famous, the Lombok bedroom is a relaxing place to be. This spacious suite is a world unto itself with a luxurious indoor bath, shower, toilet, and double stone basins. An outdoor shower complements this clean, modern bathroom suite just outside sliding glass doors.

East Java Suite

Named after Indonesia’s most populous island, West Java is accessible through and joined by Java Hall.  In Java Hall, a round marble table for four sits under a Java lamp and is the perfect place to play cards or have a cup of tea while admiring the garden pergola and the view beyond.

Sumba Suite

The word Sumba is synonymous with the sophisticated handwoven cloth patterned using a complex resist dye method. While Ikat, as this cloth is known, can be found throughout the world, The people of Sumba have perfected this art to an exceptionally high standard. An excellent example of Sumba Ikat forms a centerpiece of the queen-size canopy bed with its posts of the twisted vine. The Sumba bedroom has a cozy feeling and contains many articles of interest from its namesake in keeping with Longhouse tradition. Step outside to enjoy a view over the rooftops from your private haven.

Sumatra Suite

Evocative of the lush forests and verdant jungle of Indonesia’s largest island, Sumatra’s bedroom is full of warm wood and jungle green. The queen size bed has a headboard crafted from a natural slice of wood. Splashes of red and gold in fabrics used in the room evoke the flavor of this mountainous region with its proud people. A large sofa can double as a child’s bed to make Sumatra a family suite.
